Weigh-In
203.2.
Going back on Phase 1 starting Sunday. The next goal is 180.
This will require replacing all of my clothes… buut I’m ready for it.
Weigh-In
As of this morning, 211.4!!
Weigh-In
As of this morning, I’m at 214.6.
That’s a 14 pound loss… in 3 weeks. I really can’t believe it! But I’m not going to complain
Weigh-In
I did a sort of impromptu weigh-in this morning because I was feeling sort of heavy. I still feel off from the dinner I had at Outback last night (6oz steak w/ sauted mushrooms, veggies, and a salad). Could it because I took a tiny, tiny pinch of the bread they bring to the table? Who knows… bleh.
Anyhow, I pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scale…
217.0!!
That’s 11.6 pounds so far.
I need to start writing more…
Weigh-In
I have been on South Beach for 8 days now and I weighed myself this morning.
219.0!! That’s a NINE POUND loss in a week! Definitely the boost I need to keep me going.
My clothes are all fitting so much better and I’m so excited. I haven’t cheated even once. Well, sort of accidentally with peanut butter.
Now if I could just get to the gym a little bit more. I rode my bike one day last week and went sort of hiking on Saturday. I’m going to try to do something active tonight if I can motivate myself. I’ve just been spending so much time in the kitchen, that it’s late when I’m done cooking and preparing my lunch for the next day. This is definitely a diet for someone who loves to cook. It’s been forcing me to be creative, and I love it.
Weigh-In
228.6.
I am supposed to drop anywhere from 8-12 pounds in the first 2 weeks and then 1-2 pounds per week after that. My goal is to be down to 200 by July.
Starting South Beach Diet!!
Ok, so I’m going to give this another go. I’m starting South Beach diet tomorrow. I’m going to use this blog to keep up with what I’m eating and my progress.
The way South Beach works is that you eliminate bad carbs and sugars. The reason I like the idea of it so much is that it’s more of just eating healthy than it is a diet. Something I think I can do and something that will make me healthier in the long run.
On the menu tomorrow:
Breakfast:
- 2 quiche on the go cups
Midmorning snack:
- low fat string cheese
Lunch:
- spinach with balsamic vinagertte, tomatoes, and chicken
- suger free jello cup
Afternoon snack:
- celery and a wedge of laughing cow
Dinner:
- Up in the air, most likely fish, a salad, and some sort of veggie.
Dessert:
- Vanilla creme
30 minutes on the elliptical.
I will weigh myself in the morning.
Woo! Let’s do this!
Weigh-In
Yesterday morning, I had dropped a couple of pounds! YAY! The scale said a flat 221.
It’s not much, but it’s encouraging.
I’ve been slipping a little with the food intake. Well, basically I’ve just been shoveling a lot of candy corn into my face. Oh Halloween… you will be the end of me.
I am in love with the tredmill… even when I don’t want to be at the gym, once I get on it and get going, I always want to push myself further. My heart rate isn’t getting as high as it used to, so I think it’s time to start pushing myself even harder.
I kind of hit a wall last week where I just didn’t want to go to the gym, but roomie and I started out strong yesterday so I have high hopes for this week. Working out always makes shitty home situations and all other stressed so much less icky.
The Joy of Jogging
Last week I made a glorious discovery. Jogging.
I think in the past I had been so out of shape and I could only jog for such a short period time that I just up and decided that I hated it. But last week, I really wanted to push myself, so I jumped onto a tredmill and ended up jogging about .40 of a mile broken up into .20 and .10 intervals. It is really a great overall exercise, as even my abs were sore. The next day or the day after, I did the same thing, but spent longer on the tredmill, so I ended up jogging a total of like .55 miles. I tried to do the same thing last night, after taking a couple of days off from the gym and ended up over-doing myself. I had to get off the tredmill and hop onto the ellpitcal for the rest of my 30 minutes of cardio. Little bits at a time Melody, little bits.
Anyways, like I said in my last entry, I’m not seeing much difference on the scale, but I am seeing a difference in my clothes. Yes, just walked down to my car to get my ipod… and my pants are falling off.
YAY!
Weigh-In
At weigh-in on Monday morning, 9/29, I had not lost any weight. However, I am starting to feel the difference in my clothes. I also think some of my flabby places are starting to be less flabby and more muscle! Wee! Especially around my calves.
